Business Basics - 'What You Should Form'
by Palyn Peterson

You will need to think about what business legal structure you should form.  Sole Proprietor, LLC, Corporation, etc.

I'm not going to go into much depth here. All of this is covered at this great website: Nolo.com. Go to the Small Business section.

Be sure to go there soon and read up.  I would suggest you consider an LLC first, then a Sole Proprietorship second.

Also know that this can be done without any legal help.  It may seem like a daunting task at first, but it really is simpler than you would think. Most of the time it is a short 1-2 page form asking for business name, address and who is involved. Look at it before you hire a lawyer.
