Beginners Guide to eCommerce - 'Doing Your Taxes & Tax Deductions'
by Palyn Peterson
Holy shit... Taxes... Who the hell wants to talk about taxes. You are out there busting your butt to get money, and here comes 'The Man' taking 20% of it.
But taxes are necessary. In fact, I strongly support the system. We need to pay for roads, education, shelters, foreign and domestic aid, et al. Nothing pisses me off more than someone bitching about the underfunded schools, and the pot holes in the road, but then votes down a tax increase to pay for them. Dude! It usually adds up to $6 extra a month. Quit your whining and lay off 1 Nonfat Double Shot Mochachino a month.
And because taxes are so important, YOU MUST PAY THEM. If you don't the IRS will eventually hunt you down and ruin the rest of your life. So be smart, be consciencious and learn how to do it correctly.
Here is a magic little phrase: "business expense"
If you work from home, part of your utilities are tax deductible; part of you mortgage can be deductible; part of your car payments plus registration fees can be duductible; tons more.
The internet marketing ebook you just bought is deductible; Yanik's next seminar is deductible; the membership fees to Michel Fortin's website are deductible.
Your college tuition may be deductible; your breakfast and tomorrows dinner can be deductible; the list goes on and on.
They all fall into business expenses.
I'm not going to go into detail about all of this, because it varies from state to state.
